Paula Modersohn-Becker war eine deutsche Malerin und einer der bedeutendsten Vertreter des frühen Expressionismus. In den knapp 14 Jahren, in denen sie künstlerisch tätig war, schuf sie 750 Gemälde, etwa 1000 Zeichnungen und 13 Radierungen, die die bedeutendsten Aspekte der Kunst des frühen 20.
