William Jefferson „Bill“ Clinton ist ein US-amerikanischer Politiker der Demokratischen Partei und war von 1993 bis 2001 der 42. Präsident der Vereinigten Staaten. Von 1979 bis 1981 sowie nochmals von 1983 bis 1992 bekleidete er das Amt des Gouverneurs von Arkansas.

Clinton gehört dem Flügel der New Democrats an, die für einen Dritten Weg zwischen Politischer Mitte und Neoliberalismus stehen. Er war der Nachfolger von George Bush und Vorgänger von dessen Sohn George W. Bush. Seit dem Jahr 1975 ist er mit Hillary Clinton verheiratet, mit der er die gemeinsame Tochter Chelsea hat.
