Ibn Taimiya, mit vollem Namen Taqī ad-Dīn Ahmad ibn Taimīya war ein islamischer Gelehrter . Er war Anhänger der hanbalitischen Rechtsschule , sodass seine Auffassungen in Theologie und Fiqh gemeinhin als hanbalitisch betrachtet werden. Er gilt als Inspirator des modernen Islamismus.
