Howard G. Cunningham ist ein US-amerikanischer Programmierer. Bekannt geworden ist er als der Begründer des Wiki Wiki Webs und als Pionier bei Entwurfsmustern und Extreme Programming.

Er gründete am 25. März 1995 mit dem Wiki Wiki Web für das Portland Pattern Repository das erste Wiki, ein Online-Journal für Entwurfsmuster von Programmen und erste Anlaufstelle, wenn es um die Entwicklung von Software per Extreme Programming geht. Cunningham ist einer der Autoren und Erstunterzeichner des Manifests für agile Software-Entwicklung.

Von Dezember 2003 bis Oktober 2005 arbeitete er für Microsoft. Von Oktober 2005 bis Mai 2007 war er bei der Eclipse Foundation beschäftigt und seit Mai 2007 ist er Chief Technical Officer des Internetverzeichnisses AboutUs.org. Er lebt in Beaverton, Oregon. Wikipedia
