Steven Weinberg ist ein US-amerikanischer Physiker jüdischer Herkunft und Nobelpreisträger . Er ist einer der Begründer der Vereinigung der elektromagnetischen und der schwachen Wechselwirkung zur elektroschwachen Wechselwirkung im Standardmodell der Elementarteilchenphysik.
