Sir William Osler war ein kanadischer Mediziner, Physiologe und Medizinhistoriker. Um die Jahrhundertwende war er der bekannteste Mediziner im englischsprachigen Raum, auch heute wird er wegen seiner bahnbrechenden Lehrmethoden häufig als Vater der modernen Medizin bezeichnet. Wikipedia
