Rudolph William Louis „Rudy“ Giuliani III ist ein US-amerikanischer Anwalt und Politiker der Republikanischen Partei. Er war vom 1. Januar 1994 bis 31. Dezember 2001 der 107. Bürgermeister von New York. In seine Amtszeit fielen die Terroranschläge am 11. September 2001 auf das World Trade Center in New York.

Giuliani war einer der Bewerber der Republikanischen Partei für die Nachfolge von US-Präsident George W. Bush .

Der damals designierte 45. Präsident der Vereinigten Staaten, Donald Trump, ernannte Giuliani am 12. Januar 2017 zu seinem Cyber-Sicherheitsberater. Während der Präsidentschaft Trumps wurde er 2018 für ihn als Rechtsberater tätig. Wikipedia
