Patrick „Pat“ Condell ist ein britischer Stand-Up Comedian, Schriftsteller und Internetaktivist. In den 1980er und 1990er Jahren trat er in Großbritannien in alternativen Comedyshows auf und erhielt 1991 den Time Out Comedy Award. Seit 2007 stellt er regelmäßig kurze Videos auf YouTube, in denen er vor allem religiöse Themen aufgreift und sie aus Sicht eines Atheisten bewertet.

Condell entstammt einer armen katholischen Familie. Heute bezeichnet er sich als Atheisten und sagt über seine Schulzeit in einer christlichen Schule: „Wenn einem die Kluft zwischen dem, was Menschen zu glauben behaupten, und ihrem tatsächliches Verhalten bewusst wird, ist es schwierig, davon irgend etwas ernst zu nehmen.“Condells Videos erlangten im Netz weite Verbreitung. So gilt er beim Internetportal Youtube als einer der am häufigsten besuchten Autoren, insbesondere im Vereinigten Königreich. In seiner Botschaft The Trouble With Islam griff er den Islam scharf an und sorgte damit für umfangreiche Diskussionen. Zu Condells Unterstützern zählen PZ Myers, Richard Dawkins und Harold Kroto. “Swedish politicians are not right about much, but you get the impression they think they're setting the example to the rest of us. And they are right about that. Their recent bizarre decision to recognize 'Palestine' – a country that doesn't exist – is somewhat poignant: as the way things are going Sweden itself won't exist much longer. “I think religion is utter nonsense, and I claim the right to criticise, ridicule and insult it as much as I like, but not the right to stamp out harmless aspects of it; which is why I'm a secularist, and not a totalitarian.
