Von 1993 bis 1997 war Osborne Präsidentin der Authors Guild. Erfolgreichster Teil ihres Werkes ist die Buchserie Das magische Baumhaus, die in den USA und in Deutschland zu den beliebtesten Kinderbuchreihen zählt.
