John Napier Turner PC, CC, QC ist ein kanadischer Politiker. Er war vom 30. Juni 1984 bis zum 17. September 1984 der 17. Premierminister Kanadas. Seine Amtszeit von 79 Tagen ist nach jener von Charles Tupper die zweitkürzeste der kanadischen Geschichte. Von 1968 bis 1975 gehörte er der Bundesregierung von Pierre Trudeau an, unter anderem als Finanzminister und als Justizminister. Turner gehört der Liberalen Partei an, deren Vorsitzender er von 1984 bis 1990 war. Wikipedia
