James Hudson Taylor war einer der ersten christlichen Missionare, die ins Innere Chinas vorgestoßen waren. Er wurde auch Pionier im verbotenen Land genannt und gründete die China-Inland-Mission. Er stammte aus einer gläubigen Apotheker-Familie, sein geistlicher Hintergrund war der erweckte Methodismus. Wikipedia
