Basilius der Große Zitate

Basilius von Caesarea war schon zu Lebzeiten als Basilius der Große bekannt. Er war als Asket, Bischof und Kirchenlehrer eine der herausragenden Gestalten im Christentum des 4. Jahrhunderts und zählt zu den bedeutendsten Gestalten der Kirche überhaupt. Er, sein Bruder Gregor von Nyssa und ihr gemeinsamer Freund Gregor von Nazianz werden als die drei kappadokischen Kirchenväter bezeichnet. Zusammen mit Gregor von Nazianz und Johannes Chrysostomos ist er einer der heiligen drei Hierarchen. Wikipedia
