She invited Glimcher to come to Mexico and view it, posting him a hand-drawn map, at the bottom of which she had scrawled 'bring ice thanks Agnes'. When he arrived she showed him five new paintings, made of either horizontal or vertical stripes in ice blue and red so watered it was barely pink. At 62, Martin had found a new visual language
