Glenn Greenwald ist ein US-amerikanischer Journalist, Blogger, Schriftsteller und Rechtsanwalt.
Weltweite Bekanntheit erlangte Greenwald, als er die von Edward Snowden im Jahr 2013 übermittelten Dokumente zum streng geheimen NSA-Überwachungsprogramm PRISM aufbereitete und Anfang Juni 2013 in der britischen Tageszeitung The Guardian zusammen mit einem Interview Snowdens veröffentlichte. Aufgrund dieser und folgender Berichte ist er eine der zentralen Figuren der Globalen Überwachungs- und Spionageaffäre.
