Wolodymyr Oleksandrowytsch Selenskyj ist seit Mai 2019 der Präsident der Ukraine.
Nach seinem Jurastudium erlangte er in der Ukraine und in Russland Popularität als Schauspieler, Komiker, Synchronsprecher, Regisseur, Fernsehmoderator, Filmproduzent und Drehbuchautor. Nachdem Selenskyj im Frühjahr 2019 den ersten Wahlgang und die Stichwahl der Präsidentschaftswahl in der Ukraine mit etwa 73 Prozent der abgegebenen Stimmen klar vor dem amtierenden Präsidenten Petro Poroschenko gewonnen hatte, wurde er am 20. Mai 2019 in Kiew in das Amt des Präsidenten eingeführt.
