Nancy Bird-Walton, auch Nancy-Bird Walton geschrieben, AO, OBE, OSJ war eine australische Flugpionierin. Im Alter von 19 Jahren erhielt sie als jüngste Australierin eine Pilotenlizenz. Sie gründete später einen fliegenden Medizinservice im Outback in New South Wales, wofür sie als “The Angel of the Outback” bezeichnet wurde. 1950 gründete sie die Australian Women Pilots’ Association. If you were going to practice flying through cloud you told someone on the aerodrome that's what you were going to do and that was enough!”
