Kent Beck ist ein US-amerikanischer Softwareentwickler. Er ist einer der drei Begründer des Extreme Programming genannten Software-Entwicklungsprozesses und Autor mehrerer Bücher.

Er gilt als Erfinder des Smalltalk-Testframeworks SUnit, das er auch zusammen mit Erich Gamma auf Java portiert und als JUnit veröffentlicht hat. Er ist Gründer und Direktor des Three Rivers Institutes. Beck ist auch einer der Autoren und Erstunterzeichner des Manifests für agile Software-Entwicklung. Wikipedia
